Silcotex Stone Coating is a premium interior and exterior wall and ceiling finish, made from high-quality materials derived from natural stone. Designed for both beauty and performance, it creates a luxurious marble or granite look—without the cost or complexity of traditional stonework.
This eco-friendly coating can be easily applied using just a plastic trowel, with no need for expensive tools or machinery. It’s fire-resistant, moisture-resistant, and provides excellent sound and thermal insulation. The paste is ready to use and ideal for DIY projects, requiring minimal maintenance after application.
Available in a wide range of vibrant colours, Stone Coating adds elegance to any space—perfect for homes, offices, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, and more. A 20kg pack covers approximately 140 sq ft at 2mm thickness.

How to Apply Silcotex
How to Apply Silcotex
1. Prep Your Mix
Shake the Silcotex pack and pour it into a plastic tub. Break up any clumps by hand—it may be compressed from packaging.
2. Add Water & Mix
Pour in 6–8 litres of warm (not hot) water.
Do not exceed this amount!
Mix thoroughly by hand for at least 50 minutes, or use a plaster drill for 25 minutes.
3. Let It Rest
Cover and let the mix rest for 20 minutes. After that, knead it one more time by hand to remove any remaining clumps.
4. Adjust if Needed
If needed, add up to 1 litre of extra water to make spreading easier.
5. Apply to Wall
Use a plastic trowel to apply a 2mm layer, working corner to corner. Stir the mix every 20 minutes to keep consistency.
6. Smooth & Finish
For best results, smooth the surface with a wet trowel as needed for up to 2 hours after application. Use side lighting to check for evenness.
Drying Time:
Allow 24–48 hours, depending on room temperature and humidity.
